Pro Elite is a British supplement company that makes a wide variety of bodybuilding supplements that are designed to pack muscle onto your frame.

Today, I’ll be doing a full Pro Elite X-Force Mass Gainer review to see if their hardcore weight gainer lives up to the hype.

I must admit, when I first saw how cheap this gainer was, I thought that it couldn’t possibly be good quality. Boy, was I wrong!

As you’ll soon learn, Pro Elite X-Force Mass Gainer offers big-brand quality at a fraction of the price.

Pro Elite X-Force Mass Gainer Ingredients

The Pro Elite X-Force Mass Gainer nutrition facts

A weight gainer is only as good as its ingredients. So what’s inside a 4kg Pro Elite X-Force Mass Gainer tub?

Per 210g serving, we get 856 calories, 122g of carbs, 51g of protein, and 17g of fat. My first impression is that these are great macros for bulking. Usually, you’d pay a premium for a gainer with balanced macros like this.

But because Pro Elite isn’t quite a household name in the supplement industry (not yet, anyway), you can pick up a big 4kg tub of their X-Force Mass Gainer for about the same price as a month’s gym membership.

In terms of ingredients, X-Force Mass Gainer utilises an optimal blend of slow-release (wholegrain oat flour) and fast-acting carbohydrates (maltodextrin) so that you have both consistent energy and quick fuel when you need it.

There’s also some waxy maize starch in the formula, which, again, is not usually found in mass gainers in this low price range.

As for protein, we get a mixture of whey protein concentrate—for a quick dose of amino acids—and milk protein concentrate, for a sustained release of amino acids.

Because the formula has ingredients with varying digestion speeds, you can drink it any time of the day to effectively boost your calorie intake. In other words, there’s no bad time to use Pro Elite X-Force Mass Gainer.

Pro Elite X-Force Mass Gainer Effectiveness

So, will Pro Elite X-Force Mass Gainer actually increase your body weight and help you gain muscle mass?

A person doing a review of Pro Elite X-Force Mass Gainer

The answer is most definitely yes. But there’s a catch.

You have to put in the gym time. If you just want to train whenever and spend half your gym session on your phone, then I wouldn’t recommend a supplement like this.

With over 800 calories, Pro Elite X-Force Mass Gainer definitely falls into the hardcore category, so you need to train hard in order for the nutrients to be partitioned toward muscle growth as opposed to fat storage.

How much weight and muscle you’ll gain depends on your genetics, your calorie surplus, and how advanced you are.

Obviously, someone who’s only been training for a few months can gain size at a faster rate than an amateur bodybuilder who’s already been lifting for a decade or more.

Pro Elite X-Force Mass Gainer Taste And Mixing

A man making up a serving of Pro Elite X-Force Mass Gainer in his shaker bottle

As you can see from my Pro Elite X-Force Mass Gainer review above, this gainer obviously works thanks to its great ingredient profile. But how does it taste and mix?

This is where so many supplements mess up—literally, you can barely mix some of them.

Thankfully, this wasn’t the case with Pro Elite X-Force Mass Gainer.

I ordered a 4kg tub in the Chocolate flavour, but you can also get it in Strawberry, Vanilla, Smooth Banana, and a few others.

I thought that Pro Elite X-Force Mass Gainer tasted really good for such a high-calorie shake. It certainly didn’t taste like your typical artificial weight gainer, which made for a refreshing post-workout shake.

I like the fact that I could make my shakes in a standard shaker bottle rather than being forced to use a blender. In other words, I didn’t feel like I was making a meal; I simply put 500 ml of water in my shaker and then added the powder.

Overall, I’ve got no complaints about the taste and mixability of Pro Elite X-Force Mass Gainer. Next time I place an order, I’m definitely going to try some of their other flavours!

Pro Elite X-Force Mass Gainer Digestibility

The scoop for Pro Elite X-Force Mass Gainer

While Pro Elite X-Force Mass Gainer is definitely a hardcore supplement, it’s not quite what I’d call a mega-calorie gainer. In this sense, it’s quite similar to Kinetica Sports mass gainer, except a fair bit cheaper!

As such, I find that the shakes don’t sit too heavy on your stomach, which is a big deal when you’re bulking and need to cram in those calories.

Now, if you’ve never taken a mass gainer before, you might feel a bit full and even somewhat bloated after drinking your first Pro Elite X-Force Mass Gainer shake. That’s normal.

The more you drink mass gainers, the easier they go down. And honestly, with 856 calories, you should feel at least somewhat full after enjoying one of these shakes!

Are There Any Side Effects?

Well, weight gain and muscle growth are side effects, I suppose. So, yes, Pro Elite X-Force Mass Gainer will increase your body weight.

Obviously, if you consume too many calories, you could gain unwanted body fat.

While it’s natural to gain some body fat when you’re bulking, you don’t want to eat in an unnecessarily big calorie surplus. The idea is to consume enough calories to maximise hypertrophy, but not so many that you end up looking like the Michelin Man.

And as I said earlier in my Pro Elite X-Force Mass Gainer review, you might feel a bit bloated after drinking your shakes, especially if you’re new to weight gainers. But in my opinion, this is just part and parcel of bulking.

After all, if you eat an 856-calorie meal, then you’re going to feel at least a bit full, aren’t you?

There are lower calorie options out there, such as Predator Nutrition Mass Gainer, but these gainers might not offer enough calories for hardgainers

How To Use Your Pro Elite X-Force Mass Gainer To Bulk Up

Information about Pro Elite X-Force Mass Gainer on the back of the tub

The exact amount of times per day you should use Pro Elite X-Force Mass Gainer depends on things like your body weight, your calorie surplus, and how aggressively you’re bulking.

But, in general, you want to have 2-4 servings per day to pack on that mass you’re looking for.

To make a shake, add 3 scoops to around 400-500 ml of milk or water, then shake for 30 seconds.

As I said before, Pro Elite X-Force Mass Gainer mixes really well, so providing that you use enough liquid, you don’t need to worry about your shakes clumping together.

The best time to drink Pro Elite X-Force Mass Gainer is after a workout, as this is when your muscles can best utilise the amino acids and glycogen.

After that, I’d say that breakfast and before bed are the next best times to consume a shake. Why?

A serving of Pro Elite X-Force Mass Gainer in chocolate flavour

Because when you’re eating a lot of calories during a bulk, it’s good to consume a good portion of those calories at breakfast so that you’re not playing catchup later in the day.

And it’s always good to have plenty of amino acids in your bloodstream before going to bed so that your body can be in an anabolic state rather than a catabolic one.

Of course, you can also drink Pro Elite X-Force Mass Gainer between meals to get an extra calorie boost. After all, with such impressive macros, each Pro Elite X-Force Mass Gainer shake is basically like a liquid bodybuilding meal!

I definitely prefer it to Pro Power Weight Gainer because you get a much bigger tub and more servings for your money.

Should You Buy Pro Elite X-Force Mass Gainer Or Not?

If you’re based in the UK and are looking for a quality weight gainer, then I highly recommend getting Pro Elite X-Force Mass Gainer.

I’ve tried well over 60 different mass gainers at this point, and I can safely say that Pro Elite X-Force Mass Gainer is up there with the best.

I like how Pro-Elite doesn’t try to rip off its customer base by charging outrageous prices for its supplements.

For about half the price of a pair of trainers, you can get Pro Elite X-Force Mass Gainer and take your gains to the next level.

With macros that other gainers could only dream of displaying on their ingredient label, Pro Elite X-Force Mass Gainer ticks all the boxes. And at the current low price, I like it even better.
