If you're looking to bulk up and boost your strength, Muscletech Mass-Tech Elite could be a good supplement for you because it contains over 800 calories per serving, consisting of 134g of carbs, 6g of fat, and 63g of protein.

At a glance, this looks like a great gainer. But I decided to do a full MuscleTech Mass Tech Elite review to find out for sure. So, let's dive deeper into the world of Muscletech Mass-Tech Elite so you can determine if this gainer is a good fit for your bulking plans.

MuscleTech Mass Tech Elite Nutrition Facts

MuscleTech lists Mass Tech Elite's nutrition facts with water and with milk. To keep things fair, I decided to analyse the ingredients when mixed with water so I could get a more accurate reading of Mass Tech Elite’s true nutritional value.

The nutrition facts for MuscleTech MassTech Elite

The precise macros depend on the flavour, but here’s what you can expect from a serving of Mass Tech Elite:

  • 864 calories
  • 134g of carbs
  • 63g of protein
  • 7.7g of fat
  • 3g of creatine (the US formula has 10g)
  • 11.1g of glutamine
  • 18g of BCAAs
  • ProHydrolase digestive enzymes

Before I get into the full review, it’s very important to note that the UK/EU version of Mass Tech is different to the North American version.

The UK Mass Tech that I have only has 3g of creatine and uses maltodextrin as the sole carb source, whereas the US version has 10g of creatine and includes carbs such as quinoa, oat bran, and buckwheat in addition to maltodextrin. Something to keep in mind.

Although Mass Tech Elite isn’t the cheapest supplement on the shelves, it is one of the most action-packed. Thanks to its high protein content and 10g of creatine, you won’t need to use a protein powder or creatine supplement while taking Mass Tech Elite.

Next up in my MuscleTech Mass-Tech Elite review, I’ll go over each ingredient in a bit more detail to explain how it can help you gain more size.

MuscleTech Mass Tech Elite Ingredient Quality

The amino acid breakdown for MuscleTech Mass Tech Elite

Multi-phase Carbohydrate Complex: To support your muscle growth and recovery, it's essential to have an energy source readily available. The US Mass Tech Elite includes a multi-phase carbohydrate powder consisting of fast and slow-release carbs like maltodextrin, oat bran, quinoa, buckwheat, millet, and isomaltulose. The UK version has a simple and effective dose of maltodextrin.

Protein Blend: As a premium mass gainer, Mass Tech Elite contains a blend of high-quality proteins derived from whey, milk, and eggs. This blend ensures your muscles receive a consistent supply of essential amino acids throughout the day, promoting muscle growth and preventing muscle breakdown—the essence of successful hypertrophy.

Healthy Fats From Coconut Oil: Providing your body with healthy fats is an essential aspect of both bulking and a balanced diet. The US version of Mass Tech Elite incorporates coconut oil as a source of these good fats, which aids in managing inflammation and ensuring proper hormone production. Additionally, if you opt for the chocolate flavour, some fats are also derived from natural cocoa powder.

All in all, MuscleTech Mass Tech Elite utilises top-quality ingredients to support your muscle gain and strength training goals. The multi-phase carbohydrate powder, protein blend, and healthy fats from coconut oil work together to power your workouts and aid your recovery.

Then you have the creatine for rapid strength development and increased power output. Unlike other gainers, Mass Tech Elite includes a generous 10g dose that’s sure to give you an edge in power (remember, the UK version only has 3 grams).

Also, with 18g of BCAAs and 11g of glutamine, your muscles can recover quicker now that they have plenty of high-quality amino acids at their disposal.

How Does MuscleTech Mass Tech Elite Mix and Taste?

Finding a great-tasting and easy-to-mix mass gainer is essential if you’re to drink your shakes consistently. MuscleTech Mass Tech Elite comes in three appealing flavours—Chocolate Fudge Cake, Vanilla Cake, and Strawberry.

I have to say that MuscleTech Mass Tech Elite mixes very well and tastes rather pleasant. The consistency is smooth, without any lumpiness, making it enjoyable to drink.

As its serving size is smaller than the other Mass Tech gainers, you can choose to mix Mass-Tech Elite either in a blender or a shaker bottle. While a blender may give you a slightly smoother texture, using a shaker bottle is a convenient option for those in a hurry or on the go.

In terms of its taste, I like that the flavours aren’t too strong. While I’ve definitely had better-tasting gainers before, I think that most people will find Mass-Tech Elite perfectly drinkable.

To get the most from Mass-Tech Elite, MuscleTech recommends having two servings per day. This might result in too much creatine for some people, but getting an extra 1600 calories per day will certainly aid your weight gain efforts.

One serving is 5 scoops, which works out to 231g of powder. This means that each scoop is around 46g, which is quite small for a mass gainer.

Are There Any Downsides to MuscleTech Mass Tech Elite?

While MuscleTech Mass Tech Elite is a great mass gainer for many, some potential downsides might make you reconsider, depending on your personal preferences and goals. Let's discuss a few points that might be of concern.

One issue you might encounter is the added creatine in Mass Tech Elite. Creatine is a widely recognised and beneficial supplement for strength and muscle gain—there’s no denying that.

However, some individuals might not like the additional creatine in their mass gainer as they might already be taking a standalone creatine supplement or prefer not to take creatine at all. In this case, Mass Tech Elite might not align with your supplementation strategy.

The cost of MuscleTech Mass Tech Elite can be a concern as well, especially if you’re taking two servings per day. If you're on a tight budget or are just getting started with your mass-gaining journey, it might be worth exploring other options that provide comparable results at a lower price point.

However, its premium ingredients, high protein content, and positive MuscleTech Mass Tech Elite reviews in the bodybuilding community show that, while pricey, this gainer does offer good value for money.

MuscleTech Mass Tech Elite vs Mass Tech Extreme 2000

A MuscleTech Mass Tech Elite vs Mass Tech Extreme 2000 comparison

The biggest difference between these two Mass Tech gainers is calorie and carb content. While Mass Tech Elite has a respectable 864 calories and 134g of carbs, Extreme 2000 checks in with a mammoth 2,110 calories and 455g of carbs.

Interestingly, although Mass Tech Elite has less than half the calories of Mass Tech Extreme 2000, it actually has slightly more protein (63g vs 60g).

For this reason, Mass Tech Elite is the better choice for lean gaining and for those who don’t have extreme caloric requirements.

Honestly, most people don’t need anywhere near 455g carbs, certainly not from a single shake.

Should You Take This Weight Gainer?

The supplements facts for Mass Tech Elite Weight Gainer

Firstly, consider your fitness goals. Are you looking to gain weight and increase muscle mass quickly? If so, MuscleTech Mass-Tech Elite might be an excellent choice for you. It’s got over 800 calories, ample carbs, and plenty of protein.

The real question is, are there better options?

Personally, I like to take my creatine separately, so I wouldn’t buy Mass-Tech Elite again. But if you like the convenience of having creatine in your gainer, then this shake could be a good option.

While I wasn’t crazy about the flavours, I did find my shake drinkable. And that’s what matters. Mixability was good, too, though I did use a bit more water than advised on the tub.

In summary, my MuscleTech Mass Tech Elite review is definitely a positive one. This gainer is loaded with quality ingredients, it’s just a shame that one tub won’t last you very long, meaning that things can get pricey pretty quickly.
