MHP Up Your Mass Ingredients

MHP Up Your Mass is a popular weight gainer and mass-building supplement designed to help you build muscle mass and strength while boosting recovery. Let's dive into some key ingredients and their benefits.

50g of Protein

The macros for MHP Up Your Mass 1350

While you could argue that 50g of protein per 1350 calories is a little low, it’s still plenty for the average hardgainer (and indeed most other people) to trigger significant muscle protein synthesis (MPS).

This is especially true given that the protein is of exceptional quality (that’s right, no soy protein around here).

To give your muscles a consistent supply of amino acids, MHP includes whey protein concentrate, hydrolysed whey protein, whey isolate, milk protein, and casein.

This combination of fast and slow-release proteins keeps MPS levels elevated for longer, which ultimately means more muscle growth.

250g of Carbs

The MHP Up Your Mass ingredients

MHP Up Your Mass contains 250 grams of carbohydrates per serving, which is vital for replenishing your body's energy stores and promoting muscle growth. After all, if you want to gain weight, you need to eat in a calorie surplus.

The workout-fueling carbohydrates in this supplement come from a combination of sources, including sweet potato, quinoa powder, oat fibre, and maltodextrin, so you’re not just relying on one carb source here.

As a side note, you can see my Applied Nutrition Critical Mass review if you want a shake that’s lower in carbs and better suited for lean gaining.

15g of Fat

This weight gainer provides you with around 15 grams of fat per serving, depending on the flavour. A moderate amount of dietary fat is essential for overall health, hormone production, and absorption of fat-soluble vitamins. It also serves as an additional source of energy that you can draw on during your tough training sessions.

MHP Up Your Mass contains a balanced blend of healthy fats from flaxseed, borage seed, palm oil, and MCT powder.

Fats are extremely calorie-dense, so it’s always good to have them in a reasonable quantity within the formula of any respectable weight-gain supplement.

MHP Up Your Mass Taste and Mixability

A person making a serving of their MHP weight gainer

When trying MHP Up Your Mass, the taste is often a pleasant surprise for most users, as it's not too sweet and doesn't leave an unpleasant aftertaste.

As many MHP Up Your Mass reviews will tell you, Up Your Mass has been around for a long time, so it’s no surprise that MHP has been able to develop a flavour selection that around 90% of users seem to love, including me.

The only downside, depending on your point of view, is that the formula does contain artificial flavouring. This is true for all the flavours currently available; Milk Chocolate, French Vanilla Creme, and Cookies & Creme.

A person pouring an MHP Up Your Mass shake into a shaker bottle

As for mixability, MHP Up Your Mass offers a hassle-free experience when using a blender. So clumps or lumps that make your shake undrinkable.

Now, you can use a shaker bottle as well. But if you take the recommended serving size of 6 scoops, it’s going to be pretty hard to fit all the powder in a standard shaker bottle, especially considering that you’ll need around 700 ml of liquid as well.

So, as with most mega-calorie gainers, you’ll need a blender to get the best MHP Up Your Mass results.

How To Take Up Your Mass By MHP For The Best Results

To get the most out of MHP's Up Your Mass XXXL 1350, it's vital to follow the recommended usage guidelines while also being aware of your individual caloric requirements.

A serving of MHP Up Your Mass Gainer in a shaker cup

Firstly, mix 6 scoops of Up Your Mass XXXL 1350 with 24 fl. oz. (approximately 700 ml) of water or milk in a blender. If you only have a shaker bottle, I’d advise using two or splitting your servings up into smaller doses.

MHP recommends 1-2 servings per day, which is about right, especially if you’re bulking hard.

Just make sure that the overall majority of your calories still come from whole food sources. As I’ve mentioned in this MHP mass gainer review, gainers can certainly provide quick and convenient calories that will provoke weight gain, but they’re not exactly nutritious in the sense of being loaded with vitamins and minerals.

Post-workout is the obvious time to take this MHP weight gainer as it’s the time when your muscles are best able to utilise the vast amount of macronutrients contained within this potent weight gain formula.

I’d avoid taking it pre-workout because, with 1350 calories, the shake might sit heavy on your stomach, which is not what you want if you’re training something like your legs or back.

MHP Up Your Mass Side Effects

While using MHP Up Your Mass—or any other mass gainer—you might experience some side effects. Weight gain is, after all, an intended side effect of drinking a weight gainer!

Besides the potential of unwanted fat gain, here’s what else could happen when you consume a mass gainer in excess.

It's worth noting that gastrointestinal discomfort could occur for some people—bloating, gas, or even diarrhoea, especially if you're new to taking weight gainers. To minimise these side effects, you can start by taking smaller servings and gradually increasing the amount as your body adjusts.

You also might experience an apparent decrease in appetite due to consuming so many calories in a single shake.

Reasons To Buy MHP Up Your Mass XXXL 1350

If you're struggling to put on weight and are looking for a powerful weight gainer, MHP Up Your Mass XXXL 1350 might be just what you need. In this section of my MHP weight gainer review, I'll discuss a few reasons why you should consider giving this supplement a try.

The MHP Up Your Mass results that you can get by drinking it; up to 18lbs of muscle mass

Firstly, MHP Up Your Mass XXXL 1350 is formulated with loads of calories, carbs, fats, and protein. It packs a whopping 1,350 calories per serving, which can help you achieve a caloric surplus and, thereby, weight gain.

Secondly, the quality of protein in this supplement is not to be underestimated. It provides 50 grams of protein per serving from casein as well as various types of whey protein. There are also 11g of BCAAs and 23g of EEAs in this Fast Acting & Sustained Release Protein Blend.

MHP Up Your Mass XXXL 1350 also comes in some fantastic flavours—Cookies & Cream, Milk Chocolate, and French Vanilla—so you know that your shake is always going to be tasty.

Reasons To Avoid MHP Up Your Mass 1350

MHP Up Your Mass 1350 may sound like a promising weight gainer, but there are a few reasons you might want to avoid it. Before you jump into buying this product, consider the following potential drawbacks.

A tub of MHP Up Your Mass pictured next to a blender jug and a scoop

Firstly, the product may lead to unwanted fat gain if you're lean bulking. With 1350 calories per serving, you might exceed your macro targets if you consume this shake every day. Consuming too many calories can result in fat gain instead of the lean muscle mass you're aiming for.

Secondly, MHP Up Your Mass 1350 provides 50g of protein per serving, which might be considered quite low, considering the high caloric content of the shake. There are alternative products like BSN True Mass Weight Gainer that provide a higher protein-to-calorie ratio.

Thirdly, the price of MHP Up Your Mass 1350 might not be appealing to everyone in the sense that this product primarily consists of carbohydrates, which you can easily obtain from various food sources within your diet.

You could also create your own homemade shakes using staple ingredients such as oats, milk, and fruits for a more budget-friendly option.

Also, this MHP weight gainer does contain artificial sweeteners, which aren’t to everyone’s liking.

Is This MHP Mass Gainer Worth Your Money?

The powder contained within a tub of MHP Up Your Mass

Overall, this MHP Up Your Mass review has been a positive one. It contains everything that you could ask of a high-calorie weight gainer; ample calories, plenty of protein, and loads of carbs.

So while I have spoken of the downsides as well, they’re mainly a matter of opinion.

For example, for those who are lean gaining, 1350 calories might be excessive. However, if you’re a real hardgainer or struggle to eat enough, the caloric volume might be perfect for you.

The vast majority of MHP mass gainer reviews praise this product and highly recommend it for bulking up.

While I personally don’t like artificial flavourings, Up Your Mass can certainly up your muscle mass if you take it consistently and train hard in the gym.
