If you’re looking for a healthy and protein-dense plant based weight gainer, then you might have come across Blessed Gainz by EHP Labs.

With a completely clean and extensively tested ingredient profile, Blessed Gainz certainly seems promising for those looking to gain muscle and weight while staying healthy. But how does it stand up to scrutiny?

I ordered a bag of the Vanilla Cinnamon Swirl to find out. What follows is my full EHP Labs Blessed Gainz review that discusses the taste, mixing, ingredients, and, of course, the muscle-building benefits.

Blessed Gainz Nutrition Facts

The Blessed Gainz nutrition facts

One thing that I don’t like about mass gainers as a product category is that they usually have way more (cheap and nasty) carbs than protein. Sure, drinking a bunch of sugar might help you gain weight, but it’s not good for your health!

The first thing I noticed about Blessed Gainz is that it actually has more protein than carbs—twice as much—which is a rarity for a weight gainer.

Here are the basic macros per 2-scoop serving (73.7g of powder):

  • 280 calories
  • 40g of protein
  • 20g of carbs
  • 1g of sugar
  • 1g of fibre
  • 5g of fat

Blessed Gainz Ingredients

In addition to the basic nutritional information, Blessed Gainz also has a “Full Disclosure Panel” that tells you exactly what you’re putting into your body. I really like that EHP labs go the extra mile when so many other brands (even in the plant-based world) hide behind ominous “proprietary blends”.

Pea Protein Isolate

The Blessed Gainz ingredients

Blessed Gainz is a lactose free mass gainer because 100% of its protein content comes from pea protein isolate, which is a high-quality plant-based protein source that will help you gain weight and muscle mass.

If you don’t tolerate lactose very well, then there’s a good chance that you’ll feel much better when taking pea protein isolate.

Pea protein is very high in iron, which can be beneficial for those who struggle to get enough of this essential mineral from their regular meals.

Also, 40g of protein per 280 calories is very protein-dense indeed. In fact, I think Blessed Gainz Plant-Based Muscle Gainer might just be the most protein-dense mass gainer on the market.

Yes, even more protein-rich than the “hardcore” bodybuilding supplements! Nice job, EHP labs.

Carbohydrate Gainz Blend

Let’s face it; most weight gains are chock-full of sugar and maltodextrin that probably do you more harm than good, at least in terms of your health.

The Blessed Gainz ingredient label

Blessed Gainz is different in that it has only 1g of sugar and makes use of much cleaner carb sources than the ones mentioned above.

Yes, there’s still maltodextrin, but it’s TapiOK® organic tapioca maltodextrin, which is much healthier than the cheap corn-derived maltodextrin that virtually every other supplement company uses.

In addition to the 13g of organic tapioca maltodextrin, this Blessed Gainz weight gainer also has 2.5g of rice powder and 2.5g of prebiotic green banana fibre for some more healthy, slow-digesting carbohydrates, helping you to feel energetic without having to worry about the dreaded sugar crash that comes with most commercial mass gainers.

Healthy Fats

Did you know that if a weight gainer has virtually zero fat, that’s an indication that it contains pure sugar or a sugar substitute?

While this Blessed Gainz mass gainer is certainly protein-heavy, I like that it still has balanced macros, with 5g of fat per serving.

These healthy fats come from sunflower oil creamer and MCT oil powder, so you’re not getting a bunch of junk or excessive saturated fat.

Antioxidant Berry Blend

The Blessed Gainz scoop size

Whereas most mass gainers give you loads of carbs and whey and then call it a day, EHP labs have taken their Blessed Gainz formula to the next level by equipping it with an Antioxidant Berry Blend so that you can stay healthy and build muscle.

This immune-boosting berry trio consists of 100mg of acai berry powder, 100mg of blueberry powder, and 100mg of goji powder, giving your body a sizeable dose of crucial antioxidants, which can help you to recover faster from exercise.

While I would never rely on a weight gainer for your nutritional needs, I’m not complaining about getting these extra anti-oxidants in my mass gainer!

Digestive Support Blend

While EHP Labs Blessed Gainz might well digest better than dairy proteins, any calorie-dense shake can benefit from digestive enzymes so that your body and muscles can make the best possible use of the nutrients that you’re consuming.

This Digestive Support Blend consists of 100mg of psyllium husk, 50mg of protease, 50mg of amylase, 5mg of lipase, and 5mg of cellulase. Collectively, these safe and proven digestive enzymes help your body to properly utilise all of the quality ingredients provided by Blessed Gainz so that there’s no wasted nutrition.

Blessed Gainz Results and Benefits

There are two sides to the Blessed Gainz benefits; one, the physical results, and two, the harm that you avoid by taking Blessed Gainz rather than other weight gainers. Let me explain.

The macros for Blessed Gainz Weight Gainer

Unlike other mass gainers, Blessed Gainz weight gainer is calorie-dense without going overboard. This means that your body can fully process and absorb all of the quality nutrients that you’re feeding it.

So many other gainers brag about having 1,000+ calories as if that’s actually a good thing. In reality, overconsuming calories leads to wasted nutrition, a bloated tummy, and a spare tire around your waist. That’s not what you signed up for!

Blessed Gainz also has a much smaller serving size than usual, making it an extremely nutrient-dense formula. With 280 calories, 40g of protein, 20g of carbs, and 5g of fat, Blessed Gainz has macros that can rival the best in the business.

But let’s also consider what EHP Labs Blessed Gainz doesn’t have.

Unlike similar supplements, this Blessed Gainz mass gainer is free from artificial sweeteners, gluten, dairy and soy. Add in the digestive enzymes, and you can see why Blessed Gainz doesn’t sit heavy on your stomach or cause GI distress like so many other weight gainers.

Blessed Gainz Taste and Mixability

Ok, so, Blessed Gainz has great ingredients, and it's free from nasties. But will it fall at the final hurdle—taste and mixability?

A person making an EHP Labs Blessed Gainz Mass Gainer shake

Although taste is subjective, I have to agree with the other Blessed Gainz reviews and say that these shakes are delicious!

Finally, a weight gainer that I actually look forward to drinking.

Blessed Gainz doesn’t have that weird artificial aftertaste that you get with other gainers, which is so refreshing—literally.

Plant-based nutritional shakes usually taste so gritty, but Blessed Gainz has a really smooth texture and is honestly a pleasure to drink.

The mixability is also a breeze, and I’ve found that the powder is great for making smoothies as well. So, not only does Blessed Gainz pass the taste and mixability test, but it’s top of the class!

Blessed Gainz Price

EHP Labs Blessed Gainz Protein Powder

While you can’t put a price on good health and peace of mind, I would say that EHP Labs Blessed Gainz is a little on the expensive side.

Then again, you get 20-40 servings per bag, which is more than most mass gainers. So in terms of value for money, I’d say that Blessed Gainz is up there with the best.

For about the price of an average meal out for two, you can get a delicious and nutritious bag of Blessed Gainz that will last you for close to a month. With no fillers or hidden nasties, I think that Blessed Gainz mass gainer is definitely worth the price.

The supplement facts for EHP Labs Blessed Gainz

If you’re seeking a mass gainer that’s packed with protein, antioxidants, and quality carbohydrates, then I highly recommend getting a bag of Blessed Gainz from EHP Labs.

With no soy or artificial ingredients, Blessed Gainz mass gainer is the healthy weight gain formula that you've been looking for. Whether you go hard in the gym and need a capable supplement to support your training or whether you just need some extra healthy calories, this safe and effective weight gainer is a top choice.

And with a taste and texture that keeps me coming back for more, I can safely say that Blessed Gainz doesn’t have any weaknesses. If EHP labs made a couple more flavours, then it would be perfect. But honestly, I’d rather have 2 amazing flavours than 5 mediocre ones.

I hope that my EHP Labs Blessed Gainz review gave you a useful insight into this plant-based muscle gainer, which has quickly become one of my favourites!
