When it comes to boosting your calorie intake and gaining mass, you need to look for shakes that provide quality proteins, carbohydrates and performance-boosting ingredients.

In my CNP Mass XL review, you’ll find out if this heavyweight mass gainer is one of those products.

CNP Mass XL features a proprietary 5-Stage protein blend, delivering a respectable 34g of protein per serving. Not the highest protein content on the market, but plenty for getting the gain train starting.

This blend consists of various whey proteins and skimmed milk powder. In other words, CNP only uses high-quality protein sources that are actually capable of proking muscle protein synthesis.

Furthermore, Mass XL provides an impressive 150g of carbohydrates, including cluster dextrin and fructose, to fuel your workouts and keep your muscles looking full. So, let's have a closer look at how this CNP mass gainer can help you on your journey towards gaining mass.

CNP Mass XL Nutrition Facts

Me opening a tub of CNP Mass XL

First things first, CNP Mass XL is known for its 5-stage protein blend. This blend consists of whey protein Isolate, hydrolysed whey protein, native whey protein, whey protein concentrate, and skimmed milk powder.

All this results in 34g of quality protein per serving. I've got to admit, I love having a diverse range of proteins in my mass gainer because some types of protein digest faster or slower than others.

Besides the impressive protein content, there's no denying CNP Mass XL is a real calorie powerhouse. Packing in over 700 calories per serving, it's perfect for those of us looking to achieve a significant calorie intake for muscle growth during a bulking phase.

Now, let's talk carbs, the main ingredient in any weight gainer. CNP Mass XL includes over 140g of high-quality carbohydrates in each serving, as it features both Cluster Dextrin and Maltodextrin.

The CNP Mass XL nutrition facts

This mix of carbs will do a good job of helping your muscles recover after a demanding workout—especially those long or high-intensity sessions.

To sum things up, here are the core features of CNP Mass XL:

  • 5-stage blend protein
  • 34g of protein per serving
  • Over 700 calories per serving
  • 140g of high-quality carbs
  • Provides great recovery for muscles
  • Includes patented digestive enzymes

That's my quick rundown on the nutrition facts of CNP Mass XL. I hope this helps you understand what makes it such a popular mass gainer for teenagers and adults alike in the UK, and perhaps it'll find its way into your supplement stash too!

CNP Mass XL Ingredients

Protein and Amino Acids

CNP Mass XL boasts a 5-stage protein blend that has native whey protein, whey protein isolate, hydrolysed whey protein, whey protein concentrate, and skimmed milk powder.

This blend provides a solid 34g of protein per serving, ensuring that your developing muscles get the amino acids they need to grow even more.

Carbohydrates

The protein content (37g) of CNP Mass XL

This popular CNP weight gainer contains between 140g and 150g of carbohydrates per 200g serving (flavour dependent). These growth-fueling carbs will provide you with much-needed energy so that you can smash your workouts and stimulate new gains.

To see a gainer with the same protein content but fewer carbs, check out my CNP Professional Pro Mass review. It’s more of a lean gainer, which is better for some people.

Fats

This weight gainer has a balanced mix of fats that provide essential energy and help to maintain overall health. While fats are sometimes seen as a negative supplement ingredient, they do play a crucial role in a multitude of physical processes, and the right amount can be greatly beneficial for muscle growth.

Creatine

The CNP Mass XL ingredients

To support your strength performance during high-intensity lifting, CNP has included creatine in their Mass XL supplement.

While many people prefer to take their creatine separately, including me, you could also view the added creatine as a benefit if you’re trying to gain mass on a tight budget, as you won’t need to buy creatine separately if you take Mass XL.

Digestion Blend

Digestibility is another crucial aspect of this CNP mass gainer. Proper digestion ensures that your body efficiently absorbs and utilises the nutrients provided, something that’s especially important when you’re bulking.

Vitamins and Minerals

Lastly, in the ingredients section of my CNP mass gainer review, CNP Mass XL contains essential vitamins and minerals. These nutrients support overall health, muscle function, and protein synthesis.

Furthermore, minerals like magnesium and zinc help maintain a proper hormonal balance in the body, which ultimately contributes to your muscle-building goals.

CNP Mass XL Taste and Mixability

A person showing how to use CNP Mass XL

When it comes to trying a new mass gainer, I know taste and mixability are essential factors to consider (as subjective as they often are!). That's why I’d like to share my thoughts on CNP Mass XL and its taste and mixability.

Firstly, it's important to note that CNP Mass XL comes in three flavours: Strawberry, Chocolate, and Vanilla. I like that CNP isn’t trying to reinvent the wheel here; they’re sticking with proven flavours that most of us enjoy.

As pointed out in other CNP Mass XL reviews, each of them has a nice taste that'll make you look forward to your shake every time (unless you’re already stuffed from your bulking meals).

A chocolate CNP Mass XL shake

Having used Mass XL multiple times over the years, I’ve found the flavours to be pleasant and not overly sweet, which is great for those who might be consuming the mass gainer on a regular basis.

As for mixability, CNP Mass XL has excellent blendability when you use a blender, ensuring a smooth and lump-free shake every time. To achieve the best results, I recommend using a blender or a shaker with a mixing ball, just like you would for any other protein shake.

I've found that mixing the powder with water results in a lighter consistency, while using milk provides a creamier and more satisfying texture. It all comes down to personal preference!

Value For Money

My review of chocolate CNP Professional Mass XL

CNP Mass XL offers good value for money, especially for those who are serious about increasing their calorie intake through high-quality sources of proteins, carbohydrates, and performance ingredients.

This mass gainer comes in a hefty 4.8kg tub, which should last you a good while, depending on how often you use it.

The gainer flaunts a 5-stage blend protein, containing 34g of protein per serving and 140g of premium carbs. When you consider the high calorie content, you can see why Mass XL has proved popular over the years.

It also doesn't hurt to have a few tempting flavours to choose from—Banana, Chocolate, and Vanilla—making it enjoyable to drink on a regular basis. And let's admit it, we all appreciate a delicious shake after a rigorous workout session!

Side view of CNP Professional Mass XL

Price-wise, CNP Mass XL is reasonably priced when compared with other mass gainers in the market. Sure, you can find cheaper alternatives, but the quality and effectiveness of those products might be questionable. Investing a little more in a reputable brand like CNP ensures that you're placing your trust in a proven and reliable product.

So, as far as value for money goes, I reckon that CNP Mass XL definitely lives up to its promises. You get a quality product with essential ingredients, a range of delightful tasty, and most importantly, the opportunity to improve your gains in a more efficient manner.

How To Use CNP Mass XL

As mentioned earlier in my CNP Mass XL review, this gainer is an excellent product for those looking to up their calorie intake with quality sources of protein and carbohydrates.

The CNP Mass XL scoop size

To make the most of this mass shake, follow these simple steps:

First, start by grabbing your favourite shaker or blender. I recommend using a large one since, with 200g of powder per serving, CNP Mass XL can be quite voluminous when mixed with water or milk.

You want to pour about 500-700ml of water or milk into your shaker or blender. Next, add 6 scoops of CNP Mass XL powder to your liquid. Be generous with your scoops if you’re really trying to bulk up, and a little more conservative if you’re looking to make your Mass XL tub last longer.

Now, it's time to give that shake a proper mix! If you're using a shaker, give it a good shake for about 30 to 60 seconds (really shake it vigorously). If you prefer a blender like me, blend for approximately 20 seconds.

Once you've got your shake all mixed up, it's time to enjoy! Drink your CNP Mass XL within 20 minutes of any workout for optimal results. You can also have it as a between-meal snack or even as a breakfast replacement if you're running short on time in the morning.

And there you have it—the best way to use CNP Mass XL for top-notch results! Remember, consistency is key when it comes to achieving your mass-gaining goals, so keep at it, and you'll see the rewards soon enough!

The Verdict

With a well-thought-out 5-stage protein blend consisting of hydrolysed whey protein, whey protein isolate, native whey protein, whey protein concentrate, and skimmed milk powder, CNP Mass XL delivers over 33g of protein per serving.

My CNP Mass XL review, including the tub, shaker and scoop

Now, let's talk about carbohydrates, the backbone of any weight gainer. CNP Mass XL packs a substantial 142g of carbs per serving, which is essential for providing energy and replenishing glycogen stores after intense workouts.

This mix of proteins and carbohydrates makes it a good, calorie-dense option for anyone looking to put on size.

CNP Mass XL offers pretty good value for money, especially when you consider the quality of the ingredients and the results it can deliver. Of course, as with any supplement, it's essential to maintain a balanced diet and a consistent workout routine to see the best results.

So, there you have it—my CNP Mass XL review. If you're serious about gaining mass and love a tasty, protein-packed shake, this one is definitely worth considering (although there are many good options on the UK market these days).
