This mass gainer supplement claims to offer a high-calorie, high-protein formula to help you reach your muscle-building goals. And on first inspection, it looks like a promising mass-building shake.

But naturally, you’ll be wondering if Boditronics Mass Attack Heavyweight is the best weight gainer for skinny guys in the UK. That's why I set out to explore its features, benefits, and drawbacks in this detailed Boditronics Mass Attack Heavyweight review.

Boditronics Mass Attack Heavyweight Ingredient Analysis

In this section of my Boditronics Mass Attack review, I’ll dive into the main ingredients of the Boditronics Mass Attack Heavyweight formula to help you understand how its nutritional composition can benefit your body and support your mass-gaining goals.

60g of Protein

The Boditronics Mass Attack Heavyweight nutrition facts

With a massive 60 grams of protein per serving, Boditronics Mass Attack Heavyweight packs a powerful punch for muscle growth and recovery. The importance of consuming sufficient protein cannot be understated in the world of bodybuilding.

So many gainers are chock-full of carbs and yet barely have any protein. Thankfully, this isn’t an issue with Mass Attack Heavyweight.

My only complaint is that the formula contains soy protein as well as whey. Still, some people might be willing to let that slide considering the weight gain potential that this 1300-calorie shake naturally offers.

215g of Carbs

Boditronics Mass Attack Heavyweight delivers a hefty 215 grams of carbs per serving, which are derived from ground whole oats and maltodextrin. This high-carb content is great for hardgainers, as it helps provide much-needed workout fuel and caloric energy, helping you gain muscle and body mass.

Furthermore, carbohydrates help replenish your glycogen stores, supporting your muscles during those intense bulking gym sessions.

21g of Fat

Providing 21 grams of fat per serving, Boditronics Mass Attack Heavyweight ensures you're getting a balanced supply of macronutrients.

Fats play a crucial role in hormone production, maintaining healthy skin and hair, and supporting overall brain function. Including healthy fat sources in your diet is essential for overall well-being, and this mass gainer offers a convenient way to meet your daily fat requirements thanks to its MCTs.

5g of Creatine

The powder inside a tub of Boditronics Mass Attack Heavyweight

Creatine, a popular supplement among weightlifters and athletes, is included in Boditronics Mass Attack Heavyweight at an optimal 5 grams per serving. So many gainers drop the ball here by only including 1-3 grams of the stuff, so it's great to see that Boditronics respects our gains by giving us the full 5-gram dose.

As any exercise scientist will tell you, creatine monohydrate boosts your body's ability to produce ATP, an energy source for cells. By increasing your ATP levels, you can experience improved workouts with increased strength, power, and endurance. In other words, you’ll be able to do more training volume and stimulate greater hypertrophy!

15g of Glutamine

Lastly, Boditronics Mass Attack Heavyweight includes 15 grams of glutamine per serving. Glutamine is an amino acid that plays a vital role in supporting immune function, gut health, and—best of all for us lifters—muscle recovery.

As you work out intensely, your body's glutamine levels may get depleted, leading to a slower recovery process. Supplementing with glutamine in this mass gainer supports faster recovery and helps maintain a healthy immune system as you push yourself to new limits during your bulking phase.

How Is Mass Attack Heavyweight Different From Mass Attack Juggernaut?

Two Boditronics weight gainers in a cardboard box

Mass Attack Heavyweight and Mass Attack Juggernaut, both products of Boditronics, are designed to help you gain weight and build muscle. However, they cater to different needs and preferences

Let's look at the key differences between the two in this Boditronics Mass Attack review so that you can decide which one suits you best.

Firstly, Mass Attack Heavyweight is tailored for "hardgainers"—those with a fast metabolism who find it difficult to consume enough calories without feeling sick or bloated. It provides a whopping 1300 calories per serving, 60 grams of protein, 15 grams of glutamine, 5 grams of creatine, and over 200 grams of carbohydrates to aid in glycogen replenishment after tough training sessions.

A Boditronics Mass Attack Juggernaut vs Boditronics Mass Attack Heavyweight comparison

On the other hand, Mass Attack Juggernaut is a lower-calorie and more versatile weight gainer that offers a balanced nutritional profile to support a wide range of individuals and training goals. It contains around half the calories of Mass Attack Heavyweight, making it suitable for both lean bulking and, when you double up on servings during the day, hardcore bulking as well.

Another difference lies in the formulation of both products. Mass Attack Heavyweight focuses on high-calorie ingredients to ensure that hardgainers get the maximum caloric intake possible. In addition to oats, maltodextrin is added to the mix for quick and easy carbs, providing your body with a rapid source of energy without overburdening the digestive system.

In summary, Mass Attack Heavyweight is designed for hardgainers who struggle to consume sufficient calories, while Mass Attack Juggernaut offers a versatile and balanced formula for a broader range of lifters.

Boditronics Mass Attack Heavyweight Mixing and Taste

A scoop of Boditronics Mass Attack

Boditronics Mass Attack Heavyweight is a high-calorie mass gainer designed to help you pack on weight and muscle. But how does it taste and mix? Let's find out based on Boditronics Mass Attack Heavyweight reviews and feedback from customers—as well as my own opinion.

Many users report that the taste of Boditronics Mass Attack Heavyweight is quite enjoyable. Based on the reviews that I read, I’d say that taste satisfaction was about 70%, which is quite good for a mega-calorie gainer.

Personally, I thought that the taste was good—certainly better than average. However, I wouldn’t say that the flavours are quite as authentic as those in the upper echelon of supplements tases.

Mass Attack Heavyweight has different flavours to Mass Attack Juggernaut. You can get the Heavyweight version in fan favourites like Banana Cream, Milk Chocolate, Strawberries & Cream and Vanilla Ice Cream, as well as unique flavours like Gingerbread and Sweet Spice.

The Boditronics Mass Attack Heavyweight scoop

When it comes to mixing, almost every user reported that the powder mixed well with water or milk, which was my experience exactly.

Boditronics recommends adding 4 slightly heaped scoops of powder to 300 ml of liquid, either water or milk, depending on your preference. I recommend using a bit more liquid, as 300g of powder (4 scoops) is a lot.

Similarly, you might need to add more liquid if you're using milk so that your shake isn’t too thick. Using a blender or a blender-bottle-style shaker should help ensure that the mixture is well-blended and clump-free.

If you’re looking for another gainer that’s really high in calories, I recommend reading my GTN Mass Gainer review. It’s sometimes helpful to get a point of comparison before making a purchase!

Alternatively, you could check out Sport Gainer from PVL for a shake that’s a bit lower in calories.

How And When To Use Boditronics Mass Attack Heavyweight

To get the best results from this Boditronics weight gainer, follow these simple guidelines on how and when to use it.

A serving of Boditronics Mass Attack Heavyweight

The best time to consume a Mass Attack Heavyweight shake is immediately after your workout—it's when your body needs those extra calories and nutrients the most. Drinking a shake within roughly 30 minutes of your workout will help your muscles recover more effectively and grow to their full potential.

That said, it's also beneficial to have a shake first thing in the morning. This will ensure that you make a dent in your calorie and macro target as early as possible.

You could drink a shake before training, but, at 1300 calories, it might be a bit heavy on your stomach.

If you're still struggling to gain weight, another great time to have a shake is right before bed.

While you sleep, your body uses energy to repair and grow your muscles, so supplying it with additional calories during this period helps the process greatly. But remember, always listen to your body, and don't force-feed yourself.

In summary, to make the most of the Boditronics Mass Attack Heavyweight supplement:

  • Mix two scoops with 300 ml to 450ml of water or milk
  • Consume 1-2 shakes per day, depending on your caloric and nutritional needs
  • Enjoy your shake post-workout, in the morning, or before bed for optimal results

The Verdict: Is Boditronics Mass Attack Heavyweight Good For Gaining Weight?

A shaker bottle and scoop next to a tub of Boditronics Mass Attack Heavyweight

This Boditronics mass gainer is good for hardgainers who have a fast metabolism and/or those who struggle to consume enough food without feeling sick or bloated.

Like any reliable mass gainer (see my XL Nutrition Mass Gainer review for more ideas), Boditronics Mass Attack Heavyweight delivers the necessary nutrients and calories to enable you to gain weight and build muscle effectively.

Additionally, many users have praised this Boditronics mass gainer for its taste and ability to mix well, resulting in a smooth, enjoyable shake.

However, it's crucial to acknowledge that people have different body types and requirements. While Mass Attack Heavyweight is perfect for some, it may not be for everyone. If you're already consuming enough calories through a balanced diet, this shake might not be necessary.

Also, not everyone wants to have creatine in their mass gainer, especially when taking multiple servings.

Finally, the soy protein isn’t to everyone’s liking. But overall, this is still a positive Boditronics Mass Attack Heavyweight review, and I’m happy to give this supplement my stamp of approval.
